Affertons Funeral Directors has marked a decade in business by securing two top professional endorsements from the funeral industry.

Now based on the Strathmartine Road in the city, we first began providing funeral services on August 6^th, 2013 and, since then, have nurtured a strong reputation as a trusted and caring business with a commitment to going the extra mile for clients and their families in their time of need.

This has been acknowledged by our industry as the business has been accepted to be a member of the National Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors (SAIF) who uphold the UK’s highest standards among independent funeral directors.

Affertons has also partnered with the Golden Charter, one of the UK’s largest funeral plan providers, to offer clients a safe and reliable way to plan ahead and give the peace of mind that, when the time comes, everything is taken care of.

Both these endorsements come after ten years of steadfast commitment from the Affertons team, lead by Funeral Directors Paul Craigie and Ronnie Robb. Paul said:

Reflecting on a decade in business in a highly competitive sector, Paul laments that the business has had challenging moments, but being able to help people in their time of need is something they take very seriously. He added:

“In early 2021, our Clepington Road premises were badly damaged in a fire. That was a really difficult time for us, but we have been resilient and never wavered in our commitment to our customers. We are very proud to have never had a complaint in 10 years. Going the extra mile is a way of life here. That’s where we excel, providing a personalised service to each and every one of our clients.”

Future plans include expanding with the opening of additional premises to grow their presence across the city. More details of their expansion plans are set to be announced in the coming weeks.
